Why We Chose to Partner with Project Linus

Extending care beyond what we make.

From the beginning, this business has been about more than making things. It has always been about care. Care in how something is made. Care in how it is received. Care in how it moves through the world and into someone’s hands. As we thought about what this next season of our business should look like, one question kept coming up: how can what we create extend beyond us? Not just in reach, but in meaning.

That question led us to Project Linus.

Project Linus is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing handmade blankets to children who are facing illness, trauma, or difficult circumstances. These blankets are given to children in hospitals, shelters, social service settings, and during times when comfort and stability are especially needed. Each blanket is handmade by volunteers and given freely, with the simple goal of offering warmth, security, and care.

There is something deeply powerful about that mission. It is quiet. It is practical. It is rooted in human connection.

Textiles have always carried meaning. Fabric holds warmth. It holds memories. It holds time. When something is made by hand, it carries intention with it, whether the maker ever meets the person who receives it or not. Project Linus understands this in a way that feels aligned with our own values. The work is not about recognition. It is about showing up for someone who needs comfort in a moment that may feel overwhelming or uncertain.

Partnering with Project Linus felt like a natural extension of what we already believe in. We believe that handmade things matter. We believe that small, thoughtful acts add up. We believe that care can be tangible.

Beginning this year, our customers will have the option to donate with their purchase. These donations will directly support Project Linus and their ongoing efforts to provide handmade blankets to children in need. This is not an add-on meant to feel transactional. It is an invitation. An opportunity to participate in something bigger through a choice that is simple but meaningful.

We want to be clear about something. This partnership is not about us positioning ourselves as a solution. The work Project Linus does is already impactful and established because of the volunteers, organizers, and communities who show up consistently. Our role is to support that work and help create another pathway for people to give, if they choose to.

We also know that not every form of giving looks the same. For some, donating is possible. For others, sharing the mission or learning more is meaningful in its own way. All of it matters.

As a small business, we are learning how to grow without losing our grounding. We are learning how to expand thoughtfully. Partnering with non-profits like Project Linus is one way we are choosing to align our work with our values, not just in words, but in action.

This season is about intention. About making choices that feel steady and considered. About creating things that carry care, and supporting work that does the same.

We are grateful to be able to collaborate with Project Linus, and we are grateful to everyone who chooses to be part of this effort, in whatever way feels right for them.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for caring. And thank you for helping us build something that reaches a little further than ourselves.

With love,

Jess and Amara
